It's been a season for weddings. And what a beautiful season it is.

Each time we rise to welcome the bride, I wait for just that one moment when the man sees his wife-to-be for the first time as they open the church doors. The exact time he (probably) thinks to himself, "Wow....this is it" and smiles that gorgeous smile of knowing that his life is just about to get that much greater.

....I hope to see that smile for me one day. It'll be perfect.

And while I can't take all the credit for looking at weddings from this poignant perspective (cue 27 dresses), I can perhaps say that I interpret that look of love to be one that is passionate, deep yet vibrant - a love that goes beyond the look in her eyes, and is bold enough to weather whatever storm and rejoice in whatever joy comes its way.

Bold, steady, unchanging, unconditional love, designed in the image of God's love for us.

Amazing.

Mum is really a beader at heart, at hand and in her soul :)

And it's really showing in the latest pieces of her jewelry, how much of herself and her continusouly fine-tuned skill she pours into her craft.

My aunt recently received this lovely piece off-white pearl piece for her birthday. Isn't it gorgeous?

Our sincerest apologies for not updating in the past couple of days, have been busy preparing for the weekend and have also had the unfortunate news of my boyfriend's grandmother passing on.

This is our tribute to a distinguished lady who was a loving and generous woman, who, from what I know, greatly loved and cherish her children and cared very much for her grandchildren and extended family.

We wish the family our deepest condolences and God's comfort and peace upon them. They have released her with love and taken to heart the promise of God that mourning only lasts for the evening and gives way to joy in the morning, taking comfort in the fact that she is now already in Heaven!

We thank you for your concern and promise we'll be back shortly with updates.

Me, mum & che at a family photo shoot last year

It's been a day well-spent with the family - laughing, joking, eating, which ended in doing what big families do best - creating chaos at a restaurant packed with people with our rambunctious laughter :)

And even as the last minutes of the day pass by and after countless of wishes to my mom, my sister (who is already twice a mum!) and my female cousins, I find my fingers poised to once again wish all of you a very Happy Mother's Day!

Tonight I watched silently from my seat as these very sacrificial individuals tend lovingly to their children, meeting their every need, orbitting around their every movement and I think to myself what an impossibly challenging role they play. Yet, they do it so naturally, always protecting, always nurturing, always caring...just always everything.

There are times when we get on your nerves (and I speak on behalf of every child) and we make things more of a pain than it should be, but yet, you are gracious enough not to strangle us even then.

We thank you for holding back *laugh* and we know that it is your unconditional love for us that helps you do so :) Thank you for seeing us, not just through human eyes but through the eyes of love.

So to all the moms out there - Thank you!

To my very own mom and my sister, we (your children & I) LOVE YOU!

Phew! It's been a rather long week as I've just spent six days out-of-comission due to bad bout of the cough and the flu.

But nevertheless! I'm happy to say that I'm up and about, on my feet and ready to rumble! :)

Oh what a busy couple of days we've had! :)

But such bliss as we spent the new year celebrations with our extended family back in the little town due east.

This is one of my more personal posts but I find it timely as I've had many queries as to who the "we's and ours" I'm always talking about!

Most of you would know by now that our little e-trinket store was set-up out of a love for all trinkets & fascination with baubles. And it has expanded (thank God!) that it's become a little project for the girls - yes, the girls - me, my mum and my sister.

So between the three of us, we handle everything which is super-fun because it allows lots of girl-bonding time and it gives us a free hand at creativity!

Without further ado, here's introducing....

Here are the elves at work during CNY, we thought to catch up on some new creations but orders just kept pouring in...here's a big shout out to our aunts, cousins, their relatives and friends - THANK YOU so much for buying Choobs!

These were some trinkets we created for them....

The best part of it all - which I think attracted them in the first place - is that they got to customize their own trinkets (I brought my entire shop back!). So each trinket is unique because it has their own personal touch.
